Scholarship Program Information
The 2025 Dana Cundiff Scholarship program will be open for 2025 graduates to start applying at the event. This program is designed to encourage and further develop the attributes of following passion, investing in community and a commitment to discipline. The scholarship is presented as a one time $2000 + investment in the future of a deserving student athlete.
MIKE AND DANA CUNDIFF
Mike and Dana Cundiff have dedicated much of their lives to the development of student athletes. Knowing, experiencing and witnessing how an athletic sport trains and prepares students for a life of passion, sense of community and overall discipline. They have invested countless hours of coaching and mentoring over the years to hundreds of students. Their work has been recognized by a wide range of people throughout the community and state. The students personally affected by their dedication will remember this investment for life. To honor this legacy, the scholarship is dedicated to remembering their dedication and investment, as well as encouraging student athletes to continue the work and teachings of Mike and Dana Cundiff.
REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICANTS
1. Must be a 2025 Graduating high school senior that plays Softball for an Oklahoma Public School and will be attending a college or institution of higher education the fall semester of 2025.
2. Must have a cumulative grade point average of of at least 3.0. Must submit a current high school transcript with this application.
3. Must include a written recommendation from High school softball or travel ball coach.
4. Must type a one page essay (350-400 words) detailing the following topics.
a) Explain how the sport of Softball impacted your life
b) Explain a time you showed leadership on the softball field.
c) Detail how sports prepare student athletes for the future.
5. Must submit a 400 word essay on how Softball encourages the principles of passion, community and discipline that are exemplified by Mike and Dana Cundiff.
